Browserbase is a cloud browser infrastructure platform that lets AI agents and automation scripts interact with the web reliably and at scale. It provides real browser instances in the cloud, handling authentication flows, CAPTCHA solving, proxy routing, stealth fingerprinting, and session recording out of the box.
The platform exposes three core primitives:
- Browser Sessions - CDP-connected cloud Chromium instances your code drives via Playwright, Puppeteer, or Selenium
- Fetch API - Converts URLs into structured HTML, JSON, or Markdown without spinning up a full browser
- Search API - Web search optimized for agent consumption
Browserbase also ships Stagehand, an open-source AI browser automation framework built on top of the platform.

Safety and ToS
Browserbase is a legitimate commercial product. The Free plan has rate limits that discourage abuse at scale. Proxy usage and stealth features are metered and billed separately. Do not use Browserbase to bypass access controls, scrape sites that prohibit it in their ToS, or violate the Browserbase Acceptable Use Policy. HIPAA compliance is available only on the Scale plan.
